This role reports to the Associate General Counsel, Product, and will work closely with other members of the Legal & Compliance team, as well as cross-functional stakeholders across the organization — including access to senior leadership.

Our client is seeking a strategic and hands-on Senior Patent Counsel who will build and manage the company’s intellectual property portfolio and who is comfortable (indeed eager) to adopt AI tools to help them move faster and more efficiently. As the first dedicated in-house patent attorney, you will take ownership of the company’s growing intellectual property portfolio, moving beyond management to active creation. This role will own patent strategy end-to-end: you will use AI to draft patent applications in-house, drive invention harvesting across the organization, and work closely with outside counsel to secure granted patents. This is a high-impact role for someone who wants to build the internal IP infrastructure for a market-leading digital health company, working directly with advanced AI tools, engineers, product managers, and clinical experts to align the IP strategy with the product roadmap  which includes AI-driven care, computer vision, wearable technology and broader aspects of care automation.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage the IP Portfolio: Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of the company’s global patent and trademark portfolio. Develop and execute the company’s IP strategy in alignment with business objectives and product roadmap.
  • Adopt AI-first mindset and workflows: Leverage AI-powered tools to perform prior art search and prepare initial patent application drafts, to enable faster identification of relevant references and more strategic claim drafting from the outset, significantly reducing turnaround time from invention disclosure to filing.
  • Drive Invention Harvesting: Partner deeply with R&D, Product, and Clinical teams to identify patentable innovation early. Lead “idea jam” sessions and manage the internal Idea Disclosure Form process to ensure a steady pipeline of high-quality filings.
  • Facilitate the Invention Review Process: Organize and lead monthly invention review meetings to review IDFs, determine filing strategies, and recognize inventor contributions through the Patent Award Program.
  • Draft & Prosecute Patent Applications: Serve as the primary drafter for new patent applications, particularly in key technology areas. Respond to office actions and manage prosecution to maximize claim scope and grant rate.
  • Facilitate Adoption and Improvement of AI tools: Drive efficiency improvements across the patent lifecycle — from drafting through prosecution and portfolio management — by identifying opportunities to deploy AI; continuously refine and optimize AI prompts and workflows to improve the quality and consistency of generated patent documents, while applying legal expertise to review, edit, and finalize all AI-assisted outputs.
  • Manage Outside Counsel: Act as the primary liaison with outside IP counsel. Direct their work on foreign filings and complex prosecution matters, ensuring strategic alignment, high-quality work product and strict adherence to budget and timelines.
  • Strategic Counseling: Provide patent landscape reviews, patentability analyses, and competitor monitoring to inform product development and business strategy.
  • Support IP due diligence for potential M&A activities. Support product and business development teams with IP due diligence for partnerships, licensing, and strategic transactions.
  • Stakeholder Support: Develop and deliver internal training on IP awareness, invention disclosure processes, and trade secret protection. Advise internal stakeholders on IP ownership, inventorship, and related contractual matters (e.g., IP assignment provisions in employment and vendor agreements).

Experience includes:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials and active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar
  • Registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO)
  • 5-7 years of experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications, with a strong preference for a mix of law firm and in-house experience.

The Perception team at Waymo builds technology that powers the Waymo Driver. Our software allows the Waymo Driver to perceive the world around it, make the right decision for every situation, and deliver people safely to their destinations. We conduct research to address real-world problems and collaborate with research teams at Alphabet. We have access to millions of miles of driving data from a diverse set of sensors, enabling software engineers like you to develop multi-modal models and techniques at scale.

Our mission is to build a stable foundation for a high-level Perception pipeline and the overall self-driving system. We act as the crucial interface between Waymo’s hardware teams and the rest of the self-driving engineering organization, defining sensor requirements, providing critical feedback to hardware teams, and abstracting away system complexities.

The Multi-Platform Team’s purpose is to abstract away superfluous differences between various sensor hardware and encapsulate hardware-specific logic so that downstream Perception is as portable as possible. Our work allows a single parameterized Perception software stack to run on all sensor hardware platforms, to remain easily maintainable across N platforms with much less than N times the effort, and to rapidly adapt to new platforms. We bring up the overall Perception software stack on new sensor and vehicle platforms.

This role follows a hybrid work schedule and reports to a Technical Lead Manager.

What You’ll Do:

We are seeking a skilled NetSuite Technical Solution Architect to join our consulting team. As a team member, you will be responsible for architecting and implementing NetSuite solutions tailored to meet our clients’ business needs. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the successful integration, customization, and optimization of NetSuite ERP systems.

Your key responsibilities will be as follows:

  • Architect and design NetSuite solutions: based on client requirements, design solutions that ensures alignment with best practices and industry standards.
  • Collaborate closely with clients: understand their business processes, challenges, and objectives, translating them into effective NetSuite configurations and customizations.
  • Lead technical implementation of NetSuite: configuration, customization, data migration, and integration with third-party systems.
  • Provide technical support to project teams: ensure project milestones are achieved on time and within budget.
  • Conduct system assessments: identify opportunities for efficiency and recommend solutions to enhance both NetSuite functionality and performance.

The following representative engagements are examples of the type of work you’ll do as a Solution Architect. These scenarios aim to provide you with an insight into the daily experiences of working at Accordion.

  • A company has engaged Accordion to upgrade their processes to handle additional, complex use cases that today are being manually handled. The client needs additional automation to help their team focus more on other tasks and remain lean and efficient. You have been brought in to:

    • Conduct in-depth discussions with the client’s production team to understand their unique workflow and requirements.
    • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with the client’s stakeholders.
    • Present solution designs to the client for feedback and approval, iterating as necessary based on their input.
    • Be involved in and oversee development and configuration of proposed customization components.
    • Conduct testing to validate functionality and performance.
    • Conduct code reviews with associated technical project team.
    • Demo and delivery of product to key stakeholders.
  • A client experiences slow system performance and frequent timeouts in their NetSuite instance. They would like Accordion to perform a thorough assessment of the NetSuite environment to identify performance bottlenecks and priorities for optimization. You have been brought in to:

    • Define performance improvement goals and develop a risk mitigation plan.
    • Analyze system logs, system records, and performance metrics to identify areas of inefficiency.
    • Implement performance profiling tools (such as NS APM) to track system performance metrics in real-time.
    • Review and optimize SuiteScript code, SQL queries, and custom workflows to reduce execution time and resource consumption.
    • Conduct load testing and capacity planning exercises to assess system scalability and resilience under peak usage scenarios.
  • A retail client needs seamless integration between NetSuite and their e-commerce platform for real-time inventory updates and order processing. You are brought in to:

    • Establish communication channels and collaboration tools with the client’s IT team and third-party vendors.
    • Define integration requirements, data mappings, and security considerations.
    • Develop a testing strategy and conduct integration testing.
    • Configure integration endpoints and authentication mechanisms.
    • Based on design needs and infrastructure parameters, develop custom scripts or middleware connectors.
    • Conduct load testing and capacity planning exercises to assess system scalability and resilience under peak usage scenarios.

You Have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 4 years+ experience at a reputable NetSuite partner firm, end-user company and/or related technical consulting firm.
  • Strong understanding of ERP concepts, business processes, and industry-specific requirements.
  • Proficiency in SuiteScript, SuiteFlow, SuiteBuilder, SuiteTalk, and REST web services for customizations and integrations.
  • Experience with iPaaS toolsets such as Workato, Celigo, and Boomi.
  • Experience with data migration tools and techniques, including SuiteScript, CSV imports, and middleware platforms.
  • Strong logical skills with extreme attention to detail.
  • Strong ability to leverage Git to manage, collaborate, track, and organize your code base when working on a team.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex NetSuite projects within scope, timeline, and budget constraints.

The annual salary for this role ranges from: $120,000 to $160,000 USD + benefits + bonus. The role

What you’ll be doing in the role

Revenue Planning & Commercial Operations

  • Own revenue planning and target-setting in close partnership with Finance and FP&A
  • Lead quota modelling and compensation plan design, and manage the operational execution of comp plans
  • Maintain and continuously improve our forecasting model, accounting for the nuances of a consumption-based revenue model
  • Build and maintain pipeline models that serve both sales-led and PLG-driven motions

CRM & Tech Stack Ownership
